SF - Out Trust in Hashem Awakened the Purim Miracle

"If it pleases the king," Esther replied, "let the king, together with Haman, come today to a banquet I have prepared for him." (Esther 5:4)

It is counterintuitive that Esther would invite Haman to her feast with King Achashverus. After all, Haman was the ruthless enemy of the Jewish people, harboring a deep hatred for them and even issuing a death sentence against the entire nation. Why would Esther want her people's worst enemy at her party?

Esther understood that the Jewish nation believed her relationship with King Achashverus would protect them from Haman's wicked plans. They placed their trust in Esther rather than in Hashem. By inviting Haman, Esther created the illusion that she was aligned with him and wanted to see her people's destruction.

This unexpected behavior shocked the Jewish community. Realizing they could not trust Esther, they placed their complete faith in Hashem alone. This renewed trust and hope in Hashem stirred His compassion, leading to the miraculous events of Purim.
