The journey is beautiful

“Beloved is man, for he was created in the Image of HaShem. An even greater love was shown when it was made known to him that he was created in the Image of HaShem.” (Avot 3:14) This profound teaching reveals the foundation of true human dignity. Every person is beloved—not because of accomplishments or merit—but simply because HaShem created us in His Divine Image. Before we existed, we had no deeds or qualities to earn such favor. Yet, in His boundless kindness, HaShem gifted us a soul formed in His likeness—a spark of the Divine. The Mishnah teaches not only that man is inherently beloved, but that HaShem made this love known to us. This awareness deepens the connection between Creator and creation. The more we recognize our inner worth, the more we value life itself. We begin to strive—not out of fear or obligation—but from the understanding that we are precious and capable of greatness. Our self-esteem is no longer fragile or dependent on external success—it is rooted in the unshakable truth of our Divine origin. Among all of HaShem’s creations, only humanity carries this sacred imprint. The more we internalize HaShem’s infinite goodness, the more clearly we see the goodness within ourselves—goodness that is not self-made, but Divinely bestowed.
