The Goodness of Generosity "A person's gift makes room for him and brings him before the people of esteem" (Mishlei 18:16). There are three types of generosity: the gift of money, the gift of kindness, and the gift of wisdom. One's gifts make him beloved in the eyes of kings, nobles, and the entire community. In fact, there is nothing that awakens love as much as giving a gift. Even more, a person who gives gifts will receive a goodly reward in the World to Come. Lesson: Generosity is a worthy virtue because it brings dignity to the one who practices it. People will respect his counsel, and if he is in need of help, everyone will help him. He is at peace with everyone. Visualization: Envision a fruit tree blossoming with fruits and sharing them with everyone. See how the tree is beloved in the eyes of the community. Spread your kindness to those around you. A person who plants seeds of goodness will reap at harvest time.
