SF - The Double Advantage of Trust in HaShem \ Chovot Levavot

The Double Advantage of Trust in HaShem \  Chovot Levavot

D'var Torah: "The Lo-rd is my shepherd, I shall not lack. In fertile pastures He lays me down, He leads me beside tranquil waters" (Tehillim 23). King David likens a person who trusts in HaShem, to a sheep who is lovingly cared for and protected by his faithful shepherd. Just as the sheep feels secure in the hands of his shepherd, so too, a person who trusts in HaShem, feels secure and relaxed in HaShem's incomparable care. As a result of trusting in HaShem, HaShem safeguards us from all mishaps. We are confident that no harm will befall us. Everything that we receive from HaShem is accompanied by happiness and joy. In addition, we will attain our livelihood with tranquility, serenity, and calmness.

Moral : Trust in HaShem provides two wonderful advantages. Firstly, it grants us the prize of peace of mind. Secondly, our trust in HaShem ensures our protection, happiness, and subsistence.

Application:  Envision a good shepherd taking care of his flock. He protects them from the wild animals; and leads them to lush grazing grounds and gentle streams. Sense how he inspires confidence and well-being amongst his flock. Strengthen your trust in HaShem; attain peace of mind and the constant blessings of HaShem flowing into your life.
