SF - A Heart Flowing With Love \ Parashat Lech Lecha

A Heart Flowing With Love \ Parashat Lech Lecha

D'var Torah: "And you will be a blessing" (Bereishis 12:2). This verse reveals that HaShem transfered the power of conveying a blessing to Avraham. Previously, HaShem blessed Adam, Noah, and Avraham.  Yet, now HaShem gave Avraham the merit to bless whomever he so wishes. Why did HaShem transfer the power of blessing to a human being? Avraham Avinu mastered the trait of loving-kindness.  He loved every person, and constantly performed acts of kindness to all of HaShem's creations. Therefore, since Avraham's heart pulsated with love for his fellow, HaShem saw it was appropriate for Avraham to be the source to to bless all mankind.

Moral: The love, care, and joy that flows in our hearts for others, awakens the power of our blessings.

Application: Envision Avraham lovingly blessing you, and all of Klal Israel. Sense the "blessings of Avraham" bringing unbounded goodness into our life.Transpose Avraham's love and care for all people to your heart. May sweet blessings for your fellow always flow from your heart.
(Based on Rashi as explained in Da'as Torah)
