The Unbounded Compassion of HaShem \ Perek HaShira
(השמים מספרים כבוד-קל, ומעשה ידיו מגיד הרקיע" (תהילים יט:ב"
“The Heavens declare the glory of HaShem; and the expanse of the sky relates His handiwork” (Tehillim 19:2).
If we look at any random point in the nighttime sky, we see a star. There are an infinite number of stars that stretch out beyond the star that is visible to us, and probably an infinite number of galaxies. The closest star system to earth is called Alpha Centauri, which is approximately 4.2 light years away from earth. The fastest probe we have ever built would take over 50,000 years to get there. We simply cannot calculate how long it would take to reach other stars and distant galaxies.
The vastness of space is beyond human comprehension. The immensity of the planets, stars, and galaxies is unattainable to our minds.
If the creation is so enormous, how much more so is the infinite and omnipotent Creator!
“The Heavens declare the glory of HaShem, and the expanse of the sky relates His handiwork.” If HaShem’s universe is so gigantic, imagine how amazingly infinite is the Love and Compassion of HaShem, the Holy One, May He be Blessed!
HaShem loves us with unbounded love, that never ends, and His love for us is unconditional.
Contemplate on the endless Heavens above you. Realize that HaShem’s Love and Compassion for you is unbounded. The powerful love that a parent has for his child, is but a drop in the ocean compared to the Love and Compassion that HaShem holds for you.
