SF - The Holiness of HaShem Permeates the World

The pinnacle of our prayer service is the recitation of the Prophetic verse:

"Holy, Holy, Holy is HaShem; the whole earth is filled with His Glory."

The triple repetition of "Holy" teaches us that HaShem’s holiness not only transcends creation—it permeates it entirely. His holiness is not a distant attribute but the very essence and life force of the entire universe.

The physical world, as we experience it, acts as a veil—concealing the Divine Presence. Yet beneath that veil lies the truth: HaShem reigns over all of creation. His holiness infuses every part of existence.

Therefore, when we declare HaShem’s holiness in our prayers, we are not simply describing an abstract quality. We are affirming a reality: His holiness is present within the world around us. All life flows from that holiness.

Because HaShem’s holiness is the root of all creation, the laws of nature are entirely subject to His will. There are no true limitations in the material world. Just as HaShem suspended natural law during the Exodus from Egypt, He continues to transcend and direct all aspects of the physical world.

This truth brings deeper insight into the episode when HaShem commanded Moshe to speak to the rock. Through Moshe's words alone, water was meant to flow forth to sustain the people. But Moshe instead struck the rock with his staff. Though water still emerged, Moshe was held accountable because he failed to sanctify HaShem’s name.

Why? Because striking the rock gave the impression that physical force was needed—as if the rock had a will of its own that needed to be overcome. This concealed the deeper truth: no part of creation can resist the will of HaShem.

Today: Know with certainty—there are no limits to the miracles HaShem can perform.

SF - The Strength in Saying "I Was Wrong"

When the people of Israel were encamped at Mount Sinai, Moshe appointed his brother Aharon to serve as the Kohen Gadol—the High Priest. Although Korach harbored jealousy over Aharon's elevated status, he kept his resentment hidden. At that time, Moshe stood at the height of his power and popularity—having just led the nation out of Egypt and received the Torah at Sinai. To speak out against him then would have met with swift public condemnation.

However, the situation changed after the incident of the spies. The people's attitude toward Moshe shifted dramatically. They blamed him for HaShem’s decree that all adults over the age of twenty would perish in the wilderness. Sensing this shift in public sentiment, Korach seized the moment. He openly challenged Moshe’s leadership, exploiting the nation’s disillusionment for his own ambitions.

This sudden change in attitude is comparable to a sick person who receives a prescription from a world-renowned doctor but chooses to ignore it. When his condition worsens and he eventually dies, his misguided family blames the doctor instead of acknowledging their own error.

Similarly, Moshe had shown the people the path to life and blessing, yet they deviated from it. When consequences followed, rather than accepting responsibility, they turned their frustration against Moshe—the greatest of prophets and a faithful servant of HaShem.

Admitting one's mistakes is among life’s most difficult challenges. But it is also one of the most transformative. May we find the moral strength to acknowledge our errors, seek forgiveness, and grow from them. In doing so, we open the door to peace, healing, and enduring relationships.

Today: Have the courage to ask for forgiveness when you recognize that you have acted inappropriately. It is a sign not of weakness, but of true inner strength.

May the souls who left this world be remembered for a blessing.

SF - The Soul of Our Avos Lives Within Us

One of the greatest treasures that Klal Yisrael possesses is Zechus Avos—the enduring merit of our holy Patriarchs: Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov. This sacred merit stands as a shield for us, granting favor and protection in the eyes of HaShem—even in times when we may fall short spiritually.

But this gift is not arbitrary. HaShem grants us the merit of the Avos because we carry their spiritual DNA. Their holiness, their kindness, and their unwavering dedication to HaShem are etched into the very core of our souls. It is because of this deep inner connection that HaShem showers us with boundless compassion and grace—knowing that, in time, we will awaken to the pure goodness within ourselves.

Just as Avraham extended kindness to strangers, Yitzchak dug wells of peace, and Yaakov walked with integrity and truth, so too, HaShem mirrors that same mercy toward Klal Yisrael—His children who walk in their path. We are not only the physical descendants of the Avos—we are their spiritual heirs.

Today: Envision Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov as three radiant angels of compassion, surrounding and sheltering Klal Yisrael. See their light shining within you—the light of inherited holiness, compassion, and joy. Feel the warmth of their merit embracing you, and let that awareness inspire you to live a life that is pleasing to Heaven and a blessing to others.
