SF - Created in His Image: The Foundation of Self-Esteem

"Beloved is man, for he was created in the Image of HaShem. An even greater expression of love is that HaShem made it known to man that he was created in His Image." (Avot 3:14)

The more a person recognizes their inherent worth, the more deeply they value life and strive to uplift themselves and their experiences. Among all of creation, HaShem chose to endow only humankind with His Divine spark. Before we existed, we had no merit, no claim to favor. Yet in His boundless kindness, HaShem gifted us with a holy soul—formed in His own Image.

As we come to grasp the infinite goodness of HaShem, we also come to understand the inherent goodness within ourselves. This awareness cultivates a profound sense of self-worth and illuminates our unique place in creation. We are not just beloved—we are precious reflections of Divine love.

True self-esteem is rooted in the awareness that HaShem created us in His Image and cherishes our very essence.

Today: contemplate the profound teaching: "Beloved is man, for he was created in the Image of HaShem. HaShem expressed an even greater love by revealing this truth to man." Reflect on HaShem’s infinite compassion—the Creator of heaven and earth who formed you in His likeness. Rejoice in the knowledge that you are always beloved, always precious, in the eyes of HaShem.
