SF - The Hidden Worth of Every Commandment

"Be as careful in fulfilling a 'minor' Mitzvah as you are in fulfilling a 'major' one." (Pirkei Avos 2:1)

Because we live in a physical world, our ability to grasp the depth and brilliance of spiritual reward is limited. We do not naturally sense the profound delights of Gan Eden or the eternal joy that flows from closeness to HaShem. Yet the Torah gives us glimpses: even for a seemingly “small” Mitzvah, such as shiluach ha’kan (sending away the mother bird), HaShem promises long life — a hint at the unimaginable eternal reward that awaits.

If such immense reward is granted for what appears to be a minor Mitzvah, how much more so for the greater Mitzvos that demand effort, sacrifice, or deep commitment! This teaches us that in HaShem’s eyes, no Mitzvah is truly small — each one is a priceless opportunity to connect to the Infinite.

Today: Approach every Mitzvah — no matter how simple or routine — with the joy, awe, and gratitude you would feel if you had just discovered a hidden treasure chest overflowing with gold and diamonds. Every act is a doorway to eternity.
