Throughout history, the Jewish People—both as a nation and as individuals—have time and again risen from the ashes to reach great heights. What is the secret behind this extraordinary resilience and success?
In this week’s Torah portion, HaShem commands Moshe to take a census of the tribes. The tribe of Binyamin is counted at 45,600 souls, while the tribe of Dan numbers 64,000. Curiously, Binyamin had ten sons, whereas Dan had only one—Chushi, who was hearing impaired. And yet, Dan’s descendants outnumbered those of Binyamin. This is the power of HaShem’s blessing: when He chooses to favor someone, even one with seemingly fewer advantages can surpass those with far more.
This principle extends beyond genealogy. HaShem may still bless a person with limited financial means to rise from poverty to great wealth. When HaShem wills it, the natural limitations of a person’s situation are no barrier to abundant success.
Today:No matter how bleak or limiting a person’s circumstances may appear, nothing can prevent HaShem from bestowing boundless blessings and success.
Picture Yaacov Avinu arriving at Lavan’s house with nothing but the clothes on his back. Despite Lavan’s repeated attempts to cheat him, Yaacov ultimately emerged with tremendous wealth and prosperity—all through HaShem’s blessing. Now imagine HaShem’s blessings flowing into every corner of your life—your health, your livelihood, your relationships—filling you with joy and abundance.
