King David provides us with a transformative roadmap for navigating times of hardship. Our natural instinct when suffering is to cry out in protest, asking, “Why is this happening to me?” However, King David teaches us a higher path. Before asking for relief, we declare: “O G-d of my righteousness.” We acknowledge that our current "distress" is not accidental, but rooted in Divine justice. By affirming, “Hashem, You are just in all Your ways,” we transform our perspective. Today: It is specifically through this merit—the humble acceptance of G-d's will—that the gates of compassion swing open.
