Dedicated for Refuah Shleimah to Yochanon Baruch ben Fruma Etta
A Compassionate Heart
After Yoseph passed on, his brethren became assimilated with the Egyptians. Consequently, the bondage occurred in order to awaken their repentance. Eventually they repented and HaShem punished the Egyptians for afflicting His children, Klal Yisrael.
Lesson: HaShem, in His great compassion, ordains that whomever troubles Klal Yisrael will be found culpable for their deeds. Therefore, the Egyptians experienced great destruction for the suffering they caused to Klal Yisrael.
App: Emulate HaShem by compassionately opening your heart to people whom are enduring hardships. Draw them close to you and rescue them from their troubles.
