The Secret of Personal Elevation
It is the nature of dogs to make a fuss and bark at people coming into their territory. Yet, when Klal Yisrael left Egypt, not even one dog dared to bark. The dogs of the Egyptians overcame their natural instincts, even though they were not endowed with common sense.
Lesson: We are endowed with the intellectual capacity to rule over our tongues. Therefore, how much more so, are we responsible to use our faculty of speech accordingly and never speak negatively about another human being.
App: Elevate and sanctify yourself by mastering over your speech and hearing. Choose not to speak or listen to any derogatory speech.
