We Can Bring Meshiach "When there will be amongst you a poor man from one of your brethren..." (Devarim 15:7). This verse alludes to the Meshiach. He is "poor" because he wants nothing more than to redeem us. Yet, due to our shortcomings, our exile has lengthened. Indeed, once the Meshiach met Rebe Yehoshuah ben Levi and inquired as to how Klal Yisrael were faring in the world. He responded, "They are waiting for your arrival to redeem them." When the Meshiach heard the Rabbis' response, he burst into tears due to his intense longing to come and redeem them. Lesson: We sometimes feel discouraged because Meshiach has not yet come. Yet, the Meshiach has not forgotten us for a second. The redemption is totally dependent on our making an effort to improve ourselves. Visualization: Envision the ingathering of the exiles and the rebuilding of the Temple. Strive every day to make a little self-improvement. Pray for the coming of Meshiach so that all Klal Yisrael will experience great happiness and immediate redemption! (Based on the commentary of the Ohr HaChaim to the Torah)
