The Joy of Life Purim commemorates the miraculous salvation of the entire Jewish people from the evil plan of Haman, who issued a royal edict to kill all the Jews in one day.Usually when we celebrate a life saving miracle, our happiness is sparked by the feeling: "We're alive!" Being saved from death by Divine intervention is certainly an exuberant joy. However, there is another dimension of this miracle that increases our joy exponentially. The gift of life that HaShem granted to us on Purim, increases our awareness that G-d grants us the precious gift of life every second of our existence. He wants us to live! Lesson: The more we reflect on the amazing truth that God instills a living soul within us every second, the more our joy intensifies. Seeing the miracle of Purim in this light helps us to experience the goodness and love that He continuously showers upon us. App: The miracle of Purim sheds light on the joy of receiving life. The more we recognize that HaShem lovingly grants us the gift of life, the more we will see abundant blessings of health, harmony and every type of Divine deliverance.
