Remember to Thank HaShem King Hezekiah was one of the holiest and most righteous kings. In his day, HaShem miraculously defeated the massive Assyrian army that encircled Jerusalem. Subsequently, when King Hezekiah became gravely ill, HaShem miraculously healed him. Yet, instead of praising HaShem for these miracles, the king credited his own merits. Had King Hezekiah praised HaShem, he would have been the Meshiach (redeemer of Israel) and the redemption of Klal Yisrael would have occurred. Lesson: The attribute of humbly recognizing and praising HaShem for the goodness that He grants us, has power to bring healing, blessing, and redemption. App: Reflect on the miracles that HaShem has performed for you and the miracles that He has performed for Klal Yisrael. Let these miracles fill your heart with joy and praise HaShem for His goodness -- and help bring the redemption closer.
