Mutual Respect Inspiration: "Rabbi Eliezer said: Consider the honor that your friend gives to you, to be just as sincere as the honor you give to him." (Avos 2:10) Lesson: It is human nature to assume that our friends give us less respect than we deserve. However, this is a common misconception. The truth is just the opposite! Usually our friends hold genuine esteem for us and value our friendship, just as we hold them dear. Therefore, the Torah advises us to balance our relationships by consciously realizing that our friends respect us just as sincerely as we respect them. App: Strengthen the quality of your relationships by viewing your family and friends through a positive prism of mutual respect.
