The Special Blessing of Love The Torah instructs the Kohanim to bless Klal Yisrael "with love." In general, Klal Yisrael are commanded to love each other, as taught in the verse, "Love your friend as you love yourself." Why is it necessary for the Kohanim to have a special commandment to feel love towards Klal Yisrael when they bless the people? Love is a wellspring that flows with blessing! Since the Kohanim are appointed to bless the people, they need to have an extra dimension of love for Klal Yisrael. The precious love in the heart of the Kohanim awakens HaShem's sweetest and choicest blessings and draws them down to flow upon His beloved People. Lesson: Love is a dynamic spiritual power from which emanates blessings, light, and peace. Visualization: Envision the Kohanim blessing Klal Yisrael. Sense the love in their hearts. See how the love blossoms with HaShem's blessings. Feel the love and blessings surround you and fill your soul with joy.
