The Miraculous Healing of Avraham
After Avraham Avinu fulfilled the Mitzvah of Bris Milah, "HaShem appeared to him," in the spirit of "visiting the sick." The Milah purified Avraham's body and elevated his soul. In his new spiritual state, Avraham deeply yearned for HaShem. In response, HaShem came to "visit" and heal the "lovesick" Avraham.
Lesson: Mitzvos free our soul from the earthliness of the body and give us the opportunity to bond with HaShem, the Living G-d.
App: When you do a Mitzvah visualize that HaShem's holiness is sanctifying your body and filling your soul with light. Cry out for HaShem and He will come close and heal your longing to know Him.
