The Abundant Spiritual Assets of Klal Yisrael
The eternal holiness of Klal Yisrael provides us with boundless and immutable spiritual wealth. Our abundant spiritual prosperity suffices to neutralize all of our flaws and let us survive. Despite our afflictions, we are the "eternal people," outliving the greatest nations of ancient times. In this light, our Sages reveal that HaShem considered the destruction of the holy Temple as compensation for our misdeeds.
Lesson: Our eternal storehouse of holiness emanates from the incomparable Avos, the holy souls of Am Yisrael, our Mitzvah performance and Torah study. This wellspring of holiness will always be more than enough to offset our misdeeds.
App: Be comforted by the realization that we will always have an abundance of spiritual assets to withstand our trials, and the guarantee of inheriting our share in the eternal bliss of Gan Eden.
