SF - The Importance of Praising HaShem

The Importance of Praising HaShem

King Hezekiah was one of the most righteous kings. In his day, HaShem miraculously destroyed the Assyrian army that encircled Jerusalem. And when King Hezekiah became gravely ill, HaShem miraculously healed him. Yet, in the aftermath of these miracles the king showed self-admiration instead of praising HaShem. Had he praised HaShem, he would have been the Meshiach and the redemption would have occurred.

Lesson: The difference between recognizing and praising HaShem, as opposed to crediting oneself, is the difference between adversity and redemption.

App: Reflect on the miracles that HaShem has performed for Klal Yisrael and the miracles that He has performed for you. Let these miracles fill your heart with joy and praise HaShem for His goodness -- and bring the redemption closer.
