The Day After Tisha B'Av
After the Temple was destroyed and Klal Yisrael was being lead into exile, Yermiyahu the Prophet, came to Machpelah to cry and plead for his people. HaShem consoled Yermiyahu by responding, "I am going into exile with them."
All of us hoped that our collective fasting and heartfelt prayers, yesterday, on Tisha B"Av, would bring the Geulah. Our hearts our broken that, alas, the day has passed and we are still in galus.
There is one thing that we can hold on to that gives us hope: the knowledge that HaShem is with us! He wants the Geulah, even more that we do. Today, in the wake of our Tisha B'Av observance, we can touch the pain of our open wounds of 2000 years of Galus. Cry out to HaShem, with a broken heart. Cry for Klal Yisrael, cry for Yerushalayim, and cry for the exile of the Shechinah.
HaShem is with us! "Trust in HaShem, strengthen and encourage yourself, and trust in HaShem!" He will bring the Geulah!
