Our Healing Journey
HaShem has amazing love for Klal Yisrael! The Torah recounts our forty-two journeys in the desert, as if it were HaShem's private travel journal with His beloved Klal Yisrael. The Midrash compares the recounting of our journeys to a king, who took his ill son to a distant land to be healed. On the way home, the father reiterated their experiences at each location: "Here we were cold, here you had a headache, etc."
Lesson: Our life is a healing journey. HaShem maps out the path, takes us by the hand -- like his precious child -- and feels our every ache and pain. Ultimately, He heals us and lovingly remembers the experiences that we shared along the way.
