The Gift of Moral Wisdom
"See, I set before you today a blessing and a curse. " (Devarim 11:26) The word "See" implies that we have the ability to distinguish and choose "blessing" in all aspects of our life. In light of this precious wisdom that the Almighty gave us, we thank Him daily in the blessing , "Blessed are You, Almighty .... who gives us the intelligence to distinguish between day and night." Lesson: The Al-mighty grants man the moral sensibilities to always "choose life." It is very gratifying to know that the Al-mighty blessed us with a good conscience. This gives us the confidence to know that we have the moral power to choose our appropriate words and actions. Visualization: Envision Avraham Avinu recognizing the Creator and dedicating himself to a life of Torah and loving-kindness. See his life fill with HaShem's sweet and abundant blessings. Imagine the joy that he and Sara experienced when Yitzchak was born to them in their elderly years.
