The Strengthening of Spirituality
Inspiration: Torah study is one of the spiritual activities which requires us to constantly intensify our commitment. Since the attainment of good character traits is the foundation of Torah, it is clear that Torah study alone does not suffice to enhance our spiritual development. Along with Torah study, we need to constantly strengthen our active commitment to character refinement.
Lesson: The more we strengthen our commitment to attain good character traits, the more we become a fitting vessel for the holy Torah.
Visualization: Envision the great effort that Moshe Rabenu made to attain humility, the root of all good character traits. Imagine how he intensely reflects on the importance of every one of HaShem's creations. See how he instills the love of every man in his heart. Dedicate a few minutes each day to make an effort to acquire humility and mold yourself into a living Torah scroll.
