Walk in The Way of Good People Inspiration: "So that you may walk in the way of good people and keep the paths of the righteous." (Mishlei 2:20) King Solomon guides us to act with pure and constant goodness towards everyone. (This does not apply to people who are untrustworthy or unsafe.) It is appropriate to be consistently compassionate, without ever being indifferent. Be good to all people, at all times. Even in situations where you were wronged, do not demand justice. It is better not to cause hurt so that only good emanates from you. Lesson: Sweeten your life by shining your goodness on every person and in every situation. Visualization: Meditate on the verse, "HaShem is good to all and His mercy is on all of His creations." Reflect on the goodness of the Creator, Who grants us uninterrupted life and all its fullness. Envision yourself as a tree blossoming with fruits of goodness and mercy for your family, friends, and all of HaShem's creations. (Based on the commentary of the Ohr HaChaim) |
