SF - Be Kind and Compassionate to the Weak

"Do not hurt the feelings of a foreigner or oppress him, for you were foreigners in Egypt" (Shemos 22:20).

HaShem warns: "Don’t mistreat or exploit vulnerable people—whether foreigners, widows, or orphans—thinking they have no one to save them. Remember, you were once strangers in Egypt, oppressed by the Egyptians. I saw your suffering, punished your oppressors, and rescued you. I hear the cries of the oppressed and will always save them, just as I saved you."

Our experience in Egypt teaches us that HaShem defends the weak. Therefore, Klal Yisrael must never harm or oppress the vulnerable.

Picture Moshe Rabbeinu watching an Egyptian taskmaster beat a helpless slave. Moved with compassion, Moshe intervenes, saving the slave and striking down the oppressor. Reflect on the verse: "Do not hurt the feelings of a foreigner or oppress him, for you were foreigners in Egypt."

Today: Treat all people with respect and kindness, never causing harm to the weak.
