The journey is beautiful

"Yoseph made an oath with B'nei Yisrael, saying, 'Hashem will surely redeem you, and you shall take my remains with you.'" (Shemot 13:19) Rashi comments that Yoseph reflected: "I was able to bring my father, Yaakov Avinu, to be buried in Eretz Yisrael because I was the king of Egypt. However, my descendants will not be kings. In fact, they will be enslaved in bitter bondage in Egypt. They will not have the ability to carry my remains and bury me in Eretz Yisrael." Yoseph did not allow his descendants' inability to transport his remains to Eretz Yisrael to deter him from attaining his goal. Rather than succumbing to despair, he envisioned, through prophecy, that Hashem would eventually redeem them from slavery and lead them to Eretz Yisrael. With this faith in Hashem's promise of the future redemption, he was determined to see his goal of being buried in Eretz Yisrael fulfilled. Today: If immediate success seems out of reach, hold on to your faith in Hashem and keep moving forward to your goal, even if it means waiting for the right time and circumstances to bring your dreams to fruition.
