| “Trust in HaShem; strengthen yourself and take courage; and trust in HaShem” (Tehillim 27).
This uplifting verse teaches us to place our constant reliance on HaShem, for even a thousand hardships cannot extinguish a Jew’s living faith.
“Trust in HaShem”—believe that no harm will befall you. And if difficulties do arise—“strengthen yourself and take courage.” Do not despair or lose hope in HaShem’s compassion, even when “the sword rests upon your neck.”
Finally—“and trust in HaShem”—for in the merit of your unwavering bitachon, the trouble will pass and relief will surely come.
Today: Unshakeable faith in HaShem is the key to personal redemption. Moreover, our pure trust in HaShem stirs the redemption of all Klal Yisrael. Application: Reflect on today’s verse and repeat it throughout the day. Envision your trust in HaShem growing stronger and stronger, and see your troubles dissolving in its light. Picture all of Klal Yisrael placing their trust in HaShem, and awaken the merit to usher in our final redemption. (Based on the commentary of the RaMad Valli to Tehillim)
