The Wonders of the World
When we contemplate on the world, we comprehend that HaShem created it from the four primary elements: water, earth, air, and fire. These elements form the inanimate objects, plants, animals, and man. Amazingly, every one of the varied creations of HaShem -- from fire to the firefly -- is a combination of these elements. All the creations are permeated with HaShem's wisdom and every one of them serve to benefit man. The entire world was created to serve man, just as man was created to serve HaShem.
Lesson: When we reflect on the world, we will recognize irrefutable signs of HaShem's existence. The presence and power of HaShem will be clear to us, in the same way that the existence of a well-built home, testifies to its builder.
Visualization: Envision the four elements -- water, earth, air, and fire. See the water irrigate the earth, and the earth sprout with wheat. See the sun stimulate the leaves with photosynthesis, and the air give it life-giving oxygen. Envision the harvested wheat transformed into bread, providing man with the "staff of life."
