SF - Healing Words

Healing Words

The key to winning the favor of others is sensitive linguistics. A person who customarily speaks with pleasantness is beloved to Heaven as well as to his fellow man. What's more, his words are accepted and he increases peacefulness with his loved ones. As King Solomon said, "A soft answer extinguishes anger." In the same light, when offering guidance to a friend or family member, approach him with honor and respect. Tell him, "You are very wise. Therefore, it is not advisable for you to act as you are doing." Finally, if someone speaks harshly to you, answer softly and with a gentle smile, as King Solomon said, "A gentle response breaks a heart that is hard as a bone."

Lesson: Gentle and pleasant speech is the ultimate healing balm. It is good for one's life in this world and good for his share in the World to Come. Happy is a person who always speaks gently, for his life will be filled with countless blessings, and peace.

Visualization: Envision King Solomon speaking all of his words in every situation with wisdom, gentleness, and pleasantness. See how his pleasing words influenced people throughout the ages to improve their conduct and live in peace. Emulate King Solomon and always speak with gentleness, pleasantness, and patience  -- and fill your life with harmony, joy, and blessings.
