Today's Unique Opportunity
"If you will surely listen to My Mitzvos which I command you today to love HaShem, your G-d" (Devarim 11:13). The word "today" signifies that the Mitzvos should always be as fresh and beloved to you as if you received them today. With each new day our intelligence and our intuitive understanding expand and sharpen. Indeed, when we awaken each morning our awareness is qualitatively different than ever before. When we apply our new awareness to contemplate upon HaShem we will understand him in a truly new way.
Lesson: Each new day gives us the opportunity to experience HaShem with such a fresh insight, that it is as if we are recognizing HaShem for the first time.
App: When you arise in the morning reflect on the fact that your cognitive powers have intensified to a new level. Contemplate upon HaShem. Think about the fact that He is the Creator of the universe. Expand your consciousness to understand HaShem today with a new and fresh perspective of His infinite power and goodness.
