SF - The Power of Visualization \ Pesach Insight

The Power of Visualization  \ Pesach Insight

D'var Torah: The Passover Haggadah instructs us as follows: "Every person is required to imagine himself as if he experienced the miraculous Exodus from Egypt." We are not expected to visualize the actual redemption because we do not have real-time memories of the event. However, imagining ourselves as Jewish slaves in Egypt at the time of the great Exodus, as best we can, helps us bring the miraculous redemption to life. The power of personalizing the visualization strengthens our faith in HaShem, His unbounded love for Klal Yisrael, and His mastery of the universe. Even more, it fills us with new dimensions of joy, trust, and love for HaShem.

Moral: The technique of visualizing our personal redemption from Egypt helps us experience the joy of knowing HaShem's infinite love for Klal Yisrael.

Application:
Envision yourself and your family as slaves in Egypt. Sense the hardship of labor and the lack of freedom, under the Egyptian oppressors. Imagine HaShem miraculously rescuing you from your servitude. Sense the elation of your soul as it experiences holiness, freedom, and gratitude to HaShem.
