The Precious Attribute of Sharing \ Parashat Vayakhel D'var Torah: HaShem filled Betzalel with the rare and precious wisdom of crafting the intricate vessels of the Mishkan. He was a master craftsman in every creative field, most particularly in gold and silver handiwork, precision engravings, and ornamental embroideries. Creative geniuses often choose not to share their wisdom with others, yet, Betzalel graciously shared his wisdom with other people. He delighted in giving others the opportunity to participate in the great Mitzvah of building the Mishkan, the dwelling place of the Shechinah. Moral: Just as HaShem reveals to us many valuable secrets and grants us the gifts of talent and creativity, so too, it is praiseworthy for us to share our wisdom, advice, and knowledge with our friends and loved ones. The more we enlighten others, the more HaShem will bless us, grants us happiness, and expand our wisdom. Application: Envision Betzalel receiving wisdom from HaShem and forming the exquisite vessels of the Mishkan. See Betzalel joyfully sharing his precious wisdom with all who expressed interest in joining the holy work of building the Mishkan. Be inspired to share your wisdom, assistance, and suggestions in a loving way, with everyone who could benefit from your talents and goodness. (Based on the commentary of the Ibn Ezra to the Torah) |
