Enjoy the Ultimate Torah \ Parashat B'Chukotai D'var Torah: "These are the Mitzvot that HaShem commanded Moshe to the children of Israel on Mount Sinai" (Vayikra 27:34). Our Sages explained this verse: "'These are the Mitzvot" -- these are the only Mitzvot. No other prophet has permission to add another Mitzvot to the Torah. "That HaShem commanded Moshe" -- Moshe was worthy of being the envoy of the Children of Israel, and the Children of Israel were worthy of sending Moshe on their behalf. "To the children of Israel" -- the merit of the Children of Israel warranted the revelation of the Torah. "On Mount Sinai" -- the entire Torah was given on Mount Sinai."
Moral: HaShem gave the Torah to the greatest prophet, the greatest generation, and at the holiest place. This extraordinary combination provided the greatest revelation of the Torah for the benefit of all future generations.
Application: Envision when you are learning Torah, that HaShem is teaching you the Torah at Mount Sinai. Experience the Torah wisdom, holiness, and closeness to HaShem that Moshe received at Mount Sinai -- and transmitted to future generations. (Based on Ohr RaShaz of the Alter of Kelm) |
