Connect to Unbounded Blessings \ Parashat Vayeshev
D'var Torah: "Please take my blessings which are brought before you, for Hashem has been gracious to me and I have everything."
Yaacov entreated Esau to accept his gifts of friendship and peace. However, Esau feigned as if he didn't want the gifts, in order to show that he wasn't duped by Yaacov's "overtures." Yaacov explained that his gifts are given with great sincerity in order to bestow great benefit upon Esau. Since the gifts were from Yaacov's portion they were blessed by Hashem. Indeed, after Yaacov gave so many precious gifts to Esau, Yaacov lacked nothing at all! This miracle was a clear proof that the gifts from Yaacov's portion were blessed by Heaven. Therefore, if Esau would accept these offerings, he would benefit and succeed from the blessings of Hashem.
Moral: Yaacov referred to the gifts that he sent to Esau as "blessings" because he recognized that all of his wealth and success came not from his efforts, but exclusively from the wellspring of Hashem's blessings. Even more, the blessings of HaShem that are manifest on a tzadik, also benefit whomever receives a gift from the tzadik.
Application: Envision all of your blessings flowing into your life from HaShem, the Source.of all goodness. Reflect on the concept that your success is not dependent upon your efforts. Strengthen your trust in HaShem and His boundless blessings. Say to yourself, "HaShem is gracious to me and I have everything!"
