Dedicated in Honor of Aaron Gittleson
A Visualization for Peace of Mind \ Trust and Tranquility
"Blessed is the person who trusts in HaShem, and HaShem shall be his protection. He is like a tree planted by the waterside that spreads its roots into the stream. It does not notice when heat comes and its leaves shall be green; and in the year of drought it will not be anxious, neither will it ceasse from bearing fruit"(Yermiyahu 17). A person who sincerely trusts in HaShem always has peace of mind. Just as a tree planted by the waterside never worries for lack of water, so too, a person who trusts in HaShem never worries because he connects himself to the Source of Good. Even if he is surrounded by troubles a person who trusts in HaShem never fears any setback or downfall, as the verse says: "I will trust and I will not be afraid"(Ishaiah 12).
Moral: Trust in HaShem brings a person tranquility and protection because he connects himself to the unbounded blessings of HaShem. Even in challenging times he remains calm and confident, because he fully relies on HaShem's constant goodness and unconditional love. Application: Envision a tree planted by the waterside with its roots drawing water from the flowing stream. Consciously plant "the roots of your soul" in the ever-flowing stream of HaShem's blessings and salvation. Release yourself from worry by placing your heartfelt trust in the exclusive care of HaShem and His infinite compassion. Enjoy His unbounded and ever-present blessings, protection, forgiveness, and loving kindness! (Based on Chovos HaLavovos and the commentary Rav Nachman Breslav to Pirkei Avos) We're on a search!
