The Seven Tenets of Trust
The Duties of the Heart -- Chovot HaLavavot -- tells us that there is nothing more critical in Divine Service than Trusting in Hashem.
He tells us that our Trust in HaShem gives us Peace of Mind in our spiritual and secular endeavors.
The covid19 crisis is a great challenge to our Trust and Faith in Hashem.
The Chovot HaLavavot lays down the seven tenets of and five conditions of Trust in Hashem.
The Seven Tenets of Trust in HaShem:
1) Hashem loves us and has compassion on us with Infinite love and compassion.
2) Hashem oversees our lives with His Divine Providence every second of our existence.
3) HaShem is Almighty and has the Power to deliver us from all our challenges and tests.
4) HaShem has absolute and perfect Wisdom; therefore, He knows what is best for us.
5) HaShem's Kindness is with us from the moment of our inception and continues to be with us every second of our lives.
6) We are in HaShem's Hands, so nobody can help us or hurt us without His consent.
7) HaShem loves us Unconditionally.
Only HaShem has all of the seven attributes. No other being has even one of these virtues.
The Five Conditions of Trust in HaShem:
1) Review the seven tenets of Trust in HaShem.
2) HaShem examines our hearts to see if we trust in the seven tenents of Trust in HaShem.
3) Purge your heart from all doubts of trusting in HaShem.
4) Accept upon yourself the Yoke of the Kingship of Heaven.
5) Nothing can occur unless HaShem decrees that it should happen.
