"Pharaoh sent a messenger, and he called Joseph, and they quickly brought him out of the dungeon" (Bereishit 41:14).
We know that Joseph served in Potiphar's house for one year and spent twelve years in prison. Yoseph was sold into slavery at the age of seventeen, he stood before Pharaoh at thirty.
The Midrash explains that the twelve years Joseph spent in prison corresponded to the slander he spoke about his ten brothers, with an additional two years for his reliance on the Egyptian minister rather than trusting fully in Hashem to deliver him (Midrash Bereishit 4:14).
As soon as the twelve years were completed, "they quickly brought him out of the dungeon" — so determined was Hashem that Joseph should not remain even a moment longer than necessary in his confinement.
From this, we learn that when the time for our final redemption arrives, Hashem will act swiftly and decisively. Just as Joseph's release came without delay once the time had come, so too will our redemption unfold in an instant.
Today: Strengthen your faith and trust in Hashem, knowing that when the time is right, He will redeem us in "the blink of an eye."
