"Behold, seven cows of beautiful appearance and robust flesh emerged out of the river..." (Bereishit 41:2)
When creations appear beautiful and healthy to one another, it is a sign of prosperity. Why? Because there is no jealousy among them. (Based on Rashi)
We might assume that prosperous beings look favorably upon one another, but the Torah reveals the opposite: it is the joy for someone else’s goodness that awakens prosperity!
The beautiful, healthy cows emerged because they rejoiced in one another’s blessings. Their prosperity was not born of rivalry or comparison, but of mutual happiness for each other’s good fortune.
In truth, humans bring about this state of beauty and health by cultivating joy for the good fortune of others. When we transform negative thoughts into positive ones, we create a ripple effect of prosperity, peace, and love for all creation.
Today: Take a moment to appreciate something good in someone else's life—whether it's a blessing, achievement, or joyful event—and rejoice for them. Remember, your happiness for others will bring prosperity to you and to all of Hashem's creations.
