Refuah Shleimah for Yochanon Baruch ben Fruma Etta
Accentuate the Positive
The love of HaShem for Klal Yisrael is wondrous! When we do a Mitzvah, HaShem "opens the gates" and the Mitzvah ascends continuously higher until it reaches the holy Presence of HaShem. Whereas if a person does a misdeed, HaShem overpowers it, so that the misdeed has no access to come close to HaShem.
Lesson: In His great love and compassion for us, HaShem accentuates our positive deeds and virtues, and overlooks the negative ones.
App: Emulate HaShem by compassionately focusing exclusively on the good aspects of other people and make every effort to overlook the negative ones.
