The Choice to Trust in HaShem Yisro, Moshe's father-in-law, journeyed into the desert to rendezvous with Moshe and Klal Yisrael. Yisro heard from Moshe a first hand account of the great miracles that HaShem performed for Klal Yisrael. He returned to Midian, his country, in order to influence his people to convert. Despite his report of the power of HaShem and His love for Klal Yisrael, the Midianites refused to accept the truth. They elected to wage war against Klal Yisrael, which lead to their own defeat. Lesson: We have the choice to recognize and accept the existence of HaShem.
