One of the keys to true happiness is developing a healthy and wholesome attitude toward money. Our Sages teach that the money in our possession does not truly belong to us; it belongs to HaShem, who places it in our trust. He entrusts us with resources so that we may use them for mitzvos, tzedakah, and acts of goodness.

As long as the money remains with us, we thank HaShem for His kindness. And when it leaves our hands, we accept His decree with faith, knowing that this, too, is for our ultimate good.

Today: A proper attitude toward money is among the most powerful tools for refining our character. It protects us from the traps of greed, jealousy, and dissatisfaction, and helps cultivate contentment and generosity.

View your assets as a deposit placed in your care. Use what you have to strengthen spiritual pursuits, share with others, and increase kindness in the world. Accept your present financial situation with gratitude, and thank HaShem for your livelihood and well-being.
