On Rosh HaShanah, the Kingship of HaShem is revealed to all of creation. The sound of the Shofar proclaims that HaShem is the Creator and Sovereign of the entire universe. This awareness opens before us the holy gates of Divine service, giving us the chance to stand before the King of Kings and crown Him anew each year. When we internalize that HaShem is the true King, our lives take on deeper meaning. We realize that every action can either honor His Kingship or diminish it. Awareness of His rule awakens within us awe, humility, and inspiration to serve Him with love and devotion. Today: On Rosh HaShanah, seize this golden opportunity to deepen your awareness of HaShem’s Kingship. As you hear the Shofar, let it penetrate your heart with the message that HaShem rules over all. Allow this realization to inspire you to strengthen your commitment to Torah study, to perform Mitzvos with greater joy, and to increase acts of kindness. In doing so, you take part in proclaiming HaShem’s Kingship in the world and open the gates of mercy for yourself, Klal Yisrael, and all creation.
