“The hidden things belong to HaShem, our G‑d, and the revealed things belong to us and to our children, forever, to fulfill the entire Torah” (Devarim 29:28). In the Torah, a series of dots appears over the words “and to our children.” This unusual marking invites reflection. Just as a person writing a letter might underline key words to highlight their importance, HaShem—the ultimate Author of the Torah—places these dots to convey a critical message. The Torah is gently reminding us that our children’s spiritual education must always be a foremost priority. Life is filled with countless responsibilities, distractions, and urgencies. Yet HaShem, in His infinite wisdom, sends every parent a personal reminder: nurturing our children’s spiritual growth is a task of paramount importance. Today: Parents and teachers alike should pause and reflect: How can we elevate the souls entrusted to our care? Take tangible steps to foster their spiritual development. Surround them with love, patience, and compassion, ensuring that their hearts and minds are nourished with Torah values.
