Act With Dignity
Yoseph endured untold suffering at the hand of his brothers betrayal. When he was reunited with them, after they had sold him off as a slave, we would expect that he would have sharply condemned them. Nevertheless, when Yoseph admonished them, he simply stood before them and said, "I am Yoseph." He did not issue any cruel or harsh words, whatsoever.
Lesson: An angry outburst is always unacceptable. Even if someone has done a gross injustice, the one who admonishes him must express himself with dignity and respectfulness.
App: Whenever you offer your comments to others, speak with tact, calmness, and sincerity. (Based on the teachings of Rav Dovid Leibowitz)
