The Amazing Blessings of Friendship
Two people arrange to pray together at a certain holy place. One of them finishes before his friend, but nevertheless, patiently waits for his friend until he also completes his prayers. The Torah holds precious the kindness of the one who waited for his friend. Amazingly, HaShem blesses him with many blessings: "he will have peace like a flowing river, his righteous acts will be numerous as the waves of the sea, his descendants will be as the grains of sand, and his name will be everlasting."
Lesson: The man who patiently stayed at his friend's side, showed great sensitivity to his companion and valued his prayers. Reciprocally, HaShem gives phenomenal blessings to us when we act with nobility and respect for others.
App: Never abandon a friend. Make every effort to support, assist, and care for your loved ones and friends -- and receive an endless stream of HaShem's finest blessings! (Based on Brachos 5b, 6a)
