The Oath of HaShem's Mercy Yechezkal HaNavi, revealed that HaShem took an oath verifying that He accepts our Teshuvah and grants us full atonement. HaShem did not take an oath regarding any other Mitzvah. What is the significance of HaShem taking an oath regarding the effectiveness of Teshuvah? When a person claims something very unlikely to have happened, he takes an oath to validate his claim. The Torah tells us that when we do Teshvuah, HaShem forgives us and erases every trace of the misdeed. Even more when we do Teshuvah from love, He even converts the misdeeds to Mitzvos.
Lesson: HaShem's absolute kindness and infinite mercy regarding Teshuvah is counterintuitive! Therefore, HaShem swears that He graciously accepts our Teshuvah and grants total forgiveness.
App: Imgine HaShem appears to you in a dream, and tells you, "I swear that I fully accept your Teshuvah and fully forgive all of your misdeeds." Be totally encouraged that HaShem accepts your Teshuvah, and all your darkness converts to light. For "nothing can stand in the way of Teshuvah!" (Based on the teachings of Rav Yitzchak Blazer, quoted in Chofetz Chaim on the Torah)
