Absolute Trust in HaShem
Two years were added to Yoseph's imprisonment because he relied on a person, rather than HaShem, to win his freedom. Yet, his reasoning to ask the minister to advocate on his behalf was not a lack of trust in HaShem. Rather, he sought outside help because he didn't consider himself worthy to receive direct Divine deliverance.
Lesson: Even if a person considers himself unworthy of HaShem's kindness, he can always rely on the infinite mercy of HaShem.
App: Be strong and confident in your in trust HaShem, regardless of your worthiness. Your absolute faith in HaShem's goodness is the very merit of your redemption.
