Create a Wellspring of Blessings What merit produced the emergence of Moshe Rabenu, the great shepherd of Israel, the father of all our Prophets? Pharaoh, the ruthless dictator of Egypt, ordered the Hebrew midwives to kill all the male babies that were born. At the risk of their lives, they courageously ignored his command and kept the babies alive. Even more, they gathered provisions and lovingly nurtured the newborns with food and water. The midwives, Yocheved and Miriam, were the mother and sister of Moshe. Putting their life on the line to rescue and sustain Klal Yisrael, granted them the merit that the greatest leader of Klal Yisrael should be their descendant. Lesson: When we go the extra mile to help others, we are planting the seeds of future rewards that will far exceed our efforts. Visualization: View the bravery and kindness of Yocheved and Miriam as the wellspring of blessing that produced Moshe Rabenu, the teacher of all Klal Yisrael. Transmit the courage of Yocheved and Miriam to your heart. Be inspired to go beyond the norm to help your friend and Klal Yisrael - and see your deeds blossom into great goodness and light.
